Wanda Sue Cardwell Obituary (1963 - 2023)

Corydon, IN Wanda Sue Cardwell, 59, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023, in New Albany, IN. She was born October 26, 1963, the daughter of Robert Murrell and Ida Sue Henderson Cardwell. Wanda was a teacher at St. Joseph Catholic School for over 20 years. She loved all animals, especially her fur babies, Belle, Buddy, Maggie, and Autumn. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Clarence H. and Gussie Watts Henderson; 1 brother, James Cardwell; aunt, Virginia Henderson, and an uncle, Bill Henderson. She is survived by a niece and nephew, Bridgette and Shannon McQueen of Corydon, Indiana; cousins, Connie Hutchins, Blair Henderson Hutchins, and Luna Hutchins, all of Knoxville, TN.; and close friends, Mary Catherine Samuels, of Clarksville, IN., Becky Fetz, and Kara Hubbard, both of Georgetown, IN., and Roxie Miller, of Corydon, IN. Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, April 21, 2023, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Burial to follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, IN. Visitation will be held 4 PM to 8 PM Thursday and 9 AM to 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.
