Joseph Glenn Gagel, Jr. Obituary (1952 - 2023)

Lanesville, Indiana Joseph Glenn Gagel, Jr. 69, was called home on Thursday, November 9, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born November 15, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Joseph Glenn Gagel Sr. and Dorothy Mae Nelson Gagel. Glenn retired at the rank of Major, Chief's Staff with the Louisville Division of Fire after 37 years of service. He provided 40 years of dedicated service to the Pleasure Ridge Park Fire District and 4 years of distinguished service with the Georgetown Township Fire Protection District. His club affiliations include: The International Association of Fire Fighters, National Hot Rod Association, a board member of the Hildebrand House. He attended New Salisbury United Methodist Church in New Salisbury, Indiana. He was preceded in death by parents and loving Aunt and Uncle, Betty and Jerry Gagel. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Victoria Dodge Gagel of Lanesville, sons, James Gagel of Frankfort, Kentucky, Timothy Gagel and daughter Tammy Gagel both of Louisville, Kentucky, two grandchildren, and Cousins, Mark and Dwayne Gagel. There will be a Funeral Service conducted by Deacon Rick Cooper at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, 318 E. Chestnut Street, Corydon, Indiana. The visitation will be Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Hursttown Church Cemetery, Corydon, Indiana
