Jannel A. Powell Obituary (1976 - 2022)

Leavenworth, Indiana Jannel A. Powell, 45, died Wednesday, August 24, 2022. He was born September 9, 1976, in Tell City, Indiana, the son of Steven and Lissa Chambers Powell. Jannel was a 1995 graduate of Corydon Central High School. He joined the Marines after graduation and once his service was completed, he attended Indiana University with a business major. He had a love for music and a memorable singing voice. He enjoyed playing golf, loved his family, and was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts, the Indiana University Hoosiers, and the Cincinnati Reds. He is survived by his parents, 2 sons, Brayden, and Brett Powell, of Corydon, Indiana; brother, Gabriel Sean Powell, of Alton, Illinois; and sister, Bristol Powell, of Brooklyn, New York. A memorial service will be held at Corydon United Methodist Church. The date of the memorial service is pending.
