Hollis E. Sutherland Obituary (1934 - 2023)

Mauckport, IN Hollis E. Sutherland, 89, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023, at his home in Mauckport, IN. He was born in Gee, Kentucky on February 1, 1934, the son of Oscar and Frances Grubbs Sutherland. He was a United States Air Force veteran and a former employee of Old Capital Feed Mill. Hollis was a collector, collecting guns, and knives, among many other things. He liked hunting, fishing, and country music. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Annette Sutherland Luther, and brothers, Thomas and Danny Sutherland. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Bonita Uhl Sutherland, of Palmyra, Indiana, son, Wyatt Sutherland, of Wisconsin, 4 brothers, Keith Sutherland (Barbara), of Mauckport, Indiana, Darrell Sutherland (Shirley), of California, Alvin Sutherland, of Leavenworth, Indiana, and Virgil Sutherland (Jean), of Arkansas, 1 sister, Joyce Beard, of New Albany, Indiana, and 7 grandchildren.
