Elma Faye Smith Obituary (1925

Central, Indiana Elma Faye Smith, 87, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, IN. She was born in Taswell, IN on July 19, 1925 the daughter of Marvin M. and Jessie Idell Brock Smith. She had been an employee at Seinshimers Shirt Factory in New Albany and ICI Ammunition Plant in Charlestown, IN. She is preceded in death by two sons- Gaylord D. and Anthony Lynn Duke, a grandson Sam Hughes, five brothers and two sisters. She is survived by Two Sons- Glenn G. Duke (Barbara) of Paoli, IN Edgar E. Duke of Marengo, IN One Daughter- Darlene P. Wooten Horsley (James) of Central, IN Sixteen grandchildren, Twenty-Nine Great Grandchildren and 20 Great Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Corydon on Tuesday from 4 PM to 8 PM and after 9 AM on Wednesday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Alzheimers Association.
