Dorothy M. Reimold Obituary (1926

Corydon, Indiana Dorothy M. Reimold, 86, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana. She was born in Corydon on December 25, 1926 the daughter of Edwin and Edith Rhoads Miller. She married Walter Reimold in 1948, and they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2008. She graduated with a Bachelors degree in 1948 from Indiana Central College and was active for many years in the Alumni Association. She Later Graduated with a Master's degree from Spalding University. She taught high school English for 36 years, 31 years at Corydon Central High School and retired in May of 1989. She held various leadership positions in local and state teacher's associations. She was a long-time member of Pfrimmers Chapel United Methodist Church in Corydon, IN and was active in Sunday School and United Methodist Women. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband- Walter Reimold, her son Stephen Reimold and her sister Wilma Kitterman. She is survived by Her Son- Dennis Reimold of Greenwood, Indiana Her Daughter- Diane Dissel (Bill) of Chapel Hill, N.C. Three Grandchildren-Devon Reimold, Bethany Shewmaker and Lindsey Shewmaker (Brad Dennis). Two Great Grandsons- Luke and Aiden Dennis Funeral services will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, In on Friday at 11:00 AM. Pastor Tim Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Pfrimmers Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon on Thursday from 2 PM to 8 PM and after 9 AM on Friday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to her church.
