Corydon, Indiana Doris H. Eckart, 84, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon. She was born in Corydon on February 1, 1927 the daughter of Asa L. and Edna Crider Harbaugh. She was a homemaker, a life member of the Old Capitol Chapter of Eastern Star in Corydon, the Floyd County Democratic Womens Club and Old Capitol United Methodist Church. She is survived by One Son-William A. Eckart (Debbie) of Corydon, IN One Daughter- Becky Heishman (William) of New Albany, IN Two Sisters- Betty L. Mathes and Jean Annis Wiseman (Arville) both of Corydon, IN Two Granddaughters- Amy Bauer and Sally Hauswald Two Great Grandchildren- William Henry Bauer and Samuel Lewis Bauer A memorial service will be held at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon on Wednesday at 2 PM. Rev. Richard Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. Visitation will be at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon on Tuesday from 1 PM to 8 PM and after 11 AM on Wednesday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the American Diabetes Association.
