Cathy Sue Tomes Obituary (1959 - 2024)

Georgetown, Indiana Cathy Sue Tomes, 64, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN. She was born May 26, 1959, in New Albany, the daughter of Dewey and Myrtle Sanders Tomes. She worked in the food service industry managing a grocery store. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Billy, Jessie and Larry Tomes and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her son, Michael Tomes (Heather) of Jeffersonville, IN; sisters, Judy Taylor (Charles) of Corydon, IN, Glenna Toliver of Madison, IN, Sherry Richmond (Ronnie) of Josephine, TX and Laura Tomes of Georgetown, IN; brothers, Leroy Tomes (Nancy) of Corydon, IN, James Tomes (Phyllis) of Georgetown, IN, Roger Tomes (Jan) of Indianapolis, IN and Ronnie Tomes (Bonita) in Clarksville, IN; and 1 grandson Atticus Tomes. It was her wish to be cremated and there will be a celebration of life scheduled at a later date. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon are caring for all her arrangements.
