Bobby J. Reed Obituary (1937

DATELINE: Corydon Bobby J. Reed, 73, died Friday, September 02 at his home in Corydon. He was born in Valley City on November 10, 1937, the son of Lester and Beulah Wolfe Reed. He worked as an equipment operator for Corydon Crushed Stone. He was a member of the Community of Hope Nazarene Church, where he was the church bus operator for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Vernonia Toler Reed. He is survived by his son, Kevin Reed of New Salisbury Three daughters- Cheryl Newton (James), Cathy Whitman, and Martha Reed, all of Corydon; Two sisters Linda Voyles of Palmyra and Virginia Phipps (Howard) of New Amsterdam. 4 Grandchildren Christopher, Joshua and Nathan Newton and Joey Whitman. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Community of Hope Nazarene Church in Corydon. Visitation will be Monday from 10-8 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon and Tuesday 10-1 at the church. Pastor Scott Olson will officiate. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery in Corydon. Expressions of sympathy my be made to the Community of Hope Church Building Fund.
