Walter B. Hunt, Sr. Obituary (1931 - 2016)

Lanesville, Indiana Walter B. Hunt, Sr. 85, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. He was born on January 4, 1931 in Meade County, Kentucky the son of Walter Isler and Blanche Wooldridge Hunt. He retired from Eastern Airlines in Louisville, had worked for the Floyd County Road Dept. and attended Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Edwardsville, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brothers-Dee and Charles Hunt and sisters- Pearl Rice and Mary Geary. He is survived by His wife of almost 65 years, Agnes LaVerne Cecil Hunt of Lanesville, IN Three Sons- Walter B. Hunt, Jr. (Susan) of Elizabeth, IN Michael W. Hunt of Georgetown, IN Thomas Joseph Hunt of New Albany, IN Two Daughters- Brenda Lou Simmons (Charles) of Georgetown, IN Debbie Haller (Richard) of Elizabeth, IN Two Brothers- Ed Hunt of Indianapolis, IN James Hunt of Edwardsville, IN One Sister- Alma Morgan of Louisville, KY Nine Grandchildren and Twelve Great Grandchildren Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Tunnel Hill Christian Church. Pastor Becky Gibbons will officiate. Burial will be in the Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 AM to 8 PM Monday, April 25, 2016 and from 10 AM to 1:30 PM on Tuesday at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. The family suggest memorial gifts be made to either the Leukemia Society or to the Diabetes Association.
