Thurman Philip Whitlow Obituary (1943 - 2016)

Corydon, Indiana Thurman Philip Whitlow, 72, died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY. He was born December 28, 1943 in Louisville, KY to Thurman and Virginia Kotheimer Whitlow. On January 18, 1964, he married Loretta Hess at St.Mathiasis Catholic Church in Louisville, KY. He worked at Precision Tool and Die, Kentucky Lumber, (both in Louisville, KY), Corydon Concrete and retired from AMA Trucking in New Salisbury but was still farming. He was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New Middeltown, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Loretta, Sons, Eric Whitlow of Lathrop, MO and Richard Whitlow (Amy) of Laconia, IN; daughters: Vicke Taylor (Stacy) of Corydon, IN and Cathy Passarella (Robert) of Hainesville, IL. Eight grandchildren, Zachary (Tabitha) Nicholas, Anthony, Mathew, Kourtney, Ericia, Abbagayle, and Wade, and one Great-grandchild, Paisly. Visitation will be Monday, November 28, from 10 AM to 1 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 2:00 PM at Most Precious Blood Church in New Middletown. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana. The family suggest Memorials be made to the American Liver Foundation, 39 Broadway, Suite 2700, New York, New York 10006. Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
