Suzanne Zeller Hess, 82, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023, at University of Louisville Hospital. She was born May 20, 1941, in New Albany, IN, the daughter of Earl and Doris Boone Zeller. She was a loving wife and mother to her own children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as all of God's children that came into her life. She was well known for her wit, her sense of humor and her hearty laugh. Sue was a prayer warrior and loved her church families. She had a strong love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was very loved and will be missed by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Bob, David and Steve Zeller, sisters, Pat Poppic and Joyce Peyton and brother-in-law, Bill Cecil. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert A. Hess of New Albany, IN; daughters Stacy Adams (Kenny) of Georgetown, IN and Portia Stanton (Jeffry) of Jeffersonville, IN; and son Tyson Hess (Nicole) of Floyds Knobs, IN; sister, Peggy Cecil of New Port Richey, FL; grandchildren, Alex Adams (Chelsea), Jordan Adams (Alysen), Brianna Adams, Christian Stanton, Mallory Fenner (D.J.), Harrison Moyer (Cullen Ebert), Mason Hess and Norah Hess; great grandchildren, Ryker Christensen, Hayden, Parker and Jackson Adams, and Spear and Honor Fenner. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Providence Baptist Church at 2303 State Street, New Albany, IN 47150. Pastor Nathaniel Allen will officiate. Burial will follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, IN. Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 7 PM on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN and on Thursday from 11 AM until the service at 12 PM at Providence Baptist Church. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to her church.
