Robert "Bob" M. Pitman

Corydon, Indiana

Robert M. 'Bob' Pitman, 87, went to Heaven on February 18, 2016. He was born in the family home in Corydon, Indiana on April 2, 1928 to Charles M. and Ethel Conrad Pitman.

He attended Corydon High School, after graduating in 1947, he worked as a truck driver, factory worker and a farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he coached the St. Joseph's Middle School Basketball Team in the mid 1960's.

On August 29, 1952, he married Daisy E. Lowe. Together they had eight children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Daisy, one daughter, Nancy, and one son Patrick, two brothers, Russel Pitman and Herman Pitman and one sister, Alice P. Tindel.

He is survived by his six sons, Robert L. Richard D. Anthony 'Tony', Michael A. Paul D. and Eric 'Joe', three grandsons, one granddaughter, Daisy N.,one great-granddaughter, and his twin sister, Betty Boaz.

A Christian Mass will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Corydon, Indiana

Visitation will be at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana beginning Saturday beginning at 5 PM until 8 PM, Sunday from 9AM to 8 PM, and Monday morning from 9 AM to 10 AM. There will be a Rosary at 7 PM Sunday Evening.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana.
