Meredith was a “Rosie the Riveter” during WWII, working at the munitions plant in Charlestown, IN.
She worked for the United States Census Bureau for 30 years, retired and then went back to work for them for a short period of time. In her “retirement” she worked for John Kenyon Eye Center for many years sharing her beautiful smile as a volunteer. She was also active in AARFE (American Association of Retired Federal Employees).
She loved reading, crossword puzzles and was a scrabble champion. She also enjoyed traveling, loved to eat and was a marvelous cook. Her annual Thanksgiving meal was legend.
She was filled with the joy of living, and lived life her way. She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church, and thanks go out to Pastors Loppnow, Woods Kischnik for their untiring support.
She has passed on the wings of angels to a better place. She will surly color a swath of the rainbow with her favorite lipstick.
