Mary "Marty" Wilkinson Obituary (1920 - 2012)

Paducah, Kentucky Mary Martha 'Marty' Wilkinson, 91, of Paducah died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. She was born in Corydon, IN and was a volunteer with the Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Paducah. Marty was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert M. 'Bob' Wilkinson; her parents, Clarence A. and Nola C. Smith; her brothers Jim Smith, Wayne Smith, Clarence Smith, Jr. and Myron Smith, and her sister, Vera Engleman. She was also preceded in death by one great granddaughter. She is survived by Two sons: Dr. James R. Wilkinson (Kathy) of Paducah Jeffrey A. Wilkinson (Pam) of Moyie Springs, Idaho Five Grandchildren- Stephanie Alexander (Roger) of Bonners Ferry, Idaho Chris Wilkinson (Anissa) of Water Valley, MS Mary-Helen Wilkinson, of Boise ID Jeremy Wilkinson (Melissa) and Todd Wilkinson both of Nashville, TN Eleven Great Grandchildren who lovingly knew her as 'Gigi'. Marty also leaves behind a sister Virginia Moore of Corydon, IN and a special nephew Lennie Smith of Laconia, IN and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN from 5 PM to 7 PM. Funeral Services and burial will take place on Friday morning at 10 AM at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, IN Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Childrens Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Lourdes Auxiliary, Lourdes Hospital , 1530 Lone Oak Rd.
