Madge K. Moffitt Obituary (1920

Georgetown, Indiana Madge Katherine Waits Moffitt, 94, died Saturday April 19, 2014. Madge was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She took particular interest in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She was born March 28, 1920 in Mt. Orab, OH and graduated from Mt. Orab High School where she was a starter for the girls Basketball team. She married her husband, Leonard, on March 28, 1946 and they raised two daughters together. She spent 30+ winters in Florida with her Leonard, who died in 2010, after 64 years of marriage. Madge was an accomplished artist who loved to oil paint and she shared her love of painting by teaching others both in Florida and Southern Indiana. She is survived by her daughters, Ann LaRoche (Steve) of Bruceville, IN and Susan Skillman (John) of Lexington, KY and her grandchildren Andrea LaRoche Rice (John) of Indianapolis, IN and Daniel Skillman (Ashley) of Lexington, KY and great-grandson Henry Skillman.
