Jonathan Edgar Zimmerman Obituary (1933 - 2023)

Cumming, GA Jonathan Edgar Zimmerman, 90, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Northside Hospital in Cumming GA. He was born July 30, 1933, in Laconia, IN the son of Robert A. and Ellen Mae Love Zimmerman. He worked in the accounting dept for CSX Railroad formerly L&N Railroad and was medic in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda James Zimmerman, brother, Roy A. Zimmerman and sister, Rachel Striegel. He is survived by daughters, Teresa L. Zimmerman Reed of Ocala, FL, Lisa Zimmerman of Mobile, AL and Sue Zimmerman of New Albany, IN; son, J. Clinton Heavrin of Cumming, GA; brother, Robert A. Zimmerman, Jr. of Laconia, IN; sister, Ada M. Morris of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren, Matthew Greenwood (Gretchen), Adam Greenwood (Elizabeth), Andrew Reed and Daisy Zimmerman; great granddaughters, Adeline Greenwood, Evelyn Greenwood, Rowan Reed and Ada Mae Greenwood. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Friday, November 3, 2023, and on Saturday from 9 AM until the service.
