Jerry Woodrow Frederick

Jerry W. Frederick, 81, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022, at Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, KY. He was born December 16, 1940, in Corydon, Indiana the son of John W. and Fern Elizabeth Windish Frederick. He was owner and operator of Genenwein Greenhouses in Louisville, KY, was a lifelong member of the Corydon Presbyterian Church and was an Army veteran. Jerry loved to travel, loved to mow and was an avid fisherman. He moved to Rough River after retirement to enjoy a life of full-time fishing and watching the beautiful bald eagles around the lake. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was survived by his wife, Frances F. Frederick of McDaniels, KY; 2 sons, Jeffrey Frederick (Lydia), Douglas Frederick (Susan); daughter, Kimberly Gunther (John); brother, Michael "Mick" Frederick; sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Burson and sister-in-law, Carol Miller Effland (Steve) all of Corydon, IN; grandchildren, Christopher Gunther (Whitney), Justin Frederick (Moriah), Courtney Hardsaw (Josh Stepro), Sarah Wheeler (Todd), Jessica Frederick and Douglas Frederick; great grandchildren, Carter Hardsaw, Myles Kinney, Spencer Wheeler, Houston Gunther, Owen and Onyx Stepro. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 1, 2022, at the Corydon Presbyterian Church. Pastor Cindy Cushman will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN and from 9 AM to 11 AM Friday, at the Corydon Presbyterian Church. Pallbearers will be Douglas, Justin, Jessica and Chris Frederick, Todd and Sarah Wheeler, Courtney Hardsaw and Mark Burson. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Gunther, Josh Stepro and Fernando Paz. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either the Corydon Presbyterian Church, 568 W. Hwy 62, Corydon, Indiana 47112 or to the Parkinson's Foundation.
