Elizabeth, Indiana Harry R. Goodman, Sr. 82, died Thursday, August 5, 2021, in New Albany, Indiana. He was born in New Albany, January 25, 1939, to John and Rosetta Bower Goodman. He retired from Cornell Harbison Excavating where he worked for 43 years, he was a member of the Floyd County Coon Hunters Club and the Pine Ridge Bow Hunters. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jennie McCubbins Goodman, a daughter, Joy Goodman, brother, John Goodman, and sisters Rosetta Neal and Norma Yeager. Harry is survived by a son, Harry R. (Robin) Goodman Jr. from New Albany, Indiana, daughter Laura (Garry) Hornickel of Laconia, Indiana, a brother, James Goodman of Elizabeth, Indiana, a sister, Rita Flora of Hobe Sound, Florida and 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Darin) Bright, Dustin (Elizabeth) Hornickel, India Heady, Jennie Kemp, Heather Kemp and 13 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, August 10 at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana. Visitation begins on Monday, August 9 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral. Interment will be in Rehoboth Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Laconia, Indiana.
