Glendell Merle Bishop

Glendell Merle Bishop, 80, passed away Friday, December 20, 2018 at home. He was born on August 18, 1938 in Beaver Dam, KY, the son of Charles E. and Madie Lee Rowe Bishop.
He worked as a Maintenance and Air Conditioning Technician for Lorrilard Tobacco Company in Louisville and was a member of Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon. He enjoyed guitar picking, yard sales and painting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Pamela Sue; 2 sisters, Lorena Evans and Edwina Frizzel; and three brothers, Roy, Oscar and his twin, Wendell Bishop.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jewell M. Bowlds Bishop.
3 daughters - Lisa Dunaway (Jeff), Sherry Watson, and Kim McCauley, all of Corydon.
1 Sister - Anna Allen of Owensboro, KY
11 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, December 23 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Webby Oglesby will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home 12- 7 PM Saturday and 11 AM until 2 PM on Sunday. Burial will follow in Heidelberg Cemetery in Corydon.
Pallbearers will be: Joshua Rowley, Nevin Dunaway, Jordan Watson, Bradley Dunaway, Daniel Dunaway, Houston Janusz, Blake McCauley and Jason Rowley.
