Eudell Wathen Obituary (1923 - 2021)

Eudell Wathen, 98, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at Emma's Place Assisted Living in Pekin, IN. She was born December 6, 1923, in New Zion, KY the daughter of Charles Clay and Callie Spivey Farmer. She was a schoolteacher, farmer, and homemaker. She had once lived in Florida and had a great love for it. She had great passion for quilting, feeding birds, fishing, and growing flowers and could name all flowers and trees. She made many teddy bears and quilts for the underprivileged. She was a member of Edwardsville United Methodist Church and was in the Willing Workers Group at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Curtis Wathen, 2 sons, Charles C., and James C. Wathen and his granddaughter, Jennifer Carol Wathen. She is survived by 3 grandchildren, Susan Wathen (Phil Johnston) of Corydon, IN; Clay Wathen (Robin) of Lanesville, IN and Joshua Wathen (Lee Ann) of Corydon, IN. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Pastor Cindy Osgood will officiate. Burial will be in the Lanesville Protestant Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Tuesday, December 21, 2021, and 9 AM To 11 AM on Wednesday also at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Masks are required.
