Bryan Wallace Ragan Obituary (1927 - 2021)

Clarksville, IN Bryan Wallace Ragan, 94, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at University of Louisville Hospital. He was born June 19, 1927, in Monticello, KY the son of Randolph and Etta Hicks Ragan. He was a retired Pastor and served at numerous churches in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. He was also the Pastor of Visitation at Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany, IN where he was also a member, and he was a WWII Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mildred A. Rood Ragan, daughter, Carolyn Sue Kleindorfer, granddaughter, Jennifer Krebbs, sisters, Margie Reutz, Betty A. Sanders, Lula Katherine Ferguson, Lena Rebecca Panyard and Bonnie Dolphine Starkey. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Anderson Ragan of Clarksville, IN; children; Janet L. Carter of Bloomington, IN, Patricia A. Johnson (Robert) of Palmyra, IN, Mary DeBurger (James) of Clarksville, IN, John M. Ragan (JoAnn) of Floyds Knobs, IN, James Andrew Ragan (Rita) Georgetown, IN, Martha R. Fleenor (Richard) of Williamsburg, KY, Susan Beckley (Gary) of Clarksville, IN, Shari Dalton of Pekin, IN; sisters, Nancy Lee Smith of Cartersville, GA, Grace Reecher of Lebanon, IN, and Molly Virginia Doyle, of Paducah, KY; 27 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Monday, October 11, 2021, at First Southern Baptist Church at 215 E. Ettels Lane, Clarksville, IN 47129. Burial will be in Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown, IN. Visitation will be at the church from 10 AM to 1 PM. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to either, the Gideons International, Harrison Co.
