Obituary for Mary H. Reich

Corydon, Indiana
Mary Hart Reich, 101, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 4, 2017 at Kindred Transitional Care-Harrison in Corydon. She was born November 25, 1915 in Elizabeth, Indiana the daughter of James W. and Purva Johnson Hart. She was the wife of Roland Reich who preceded her in death. Roland served in the United States Army Air Force and during that time they lived in Ankara, Turkey, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania and New York before retiring to Corydon. Mary worked for many years at the Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District. She was extremely active in the Corydon United Methodist Church teaching Sunday School and serving in many capacities. Other than her husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Robert V. Reich. She is survived by her son Stephen H. Reich; three grandchildren, Clayton J. Reich, Daniel R. Reich and Monica Mills; three great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Emily Mills and London Davis. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at Corydon United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of flowers should be made to the Corydon United Methodist Church at 214 N. Elm Street Corydon, Indiana 47112. Arrangements are being handled by Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana.
