Obituary for Louis Lester Long

Louis Lester Long, 76, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home. He was born December 12, 1941 in Edwardsville, Indiana the son of Ershel, Sr. and Mabel Kitterman Long. He was the warehouse supervisor for Winn Dixie for 33 years, was in the National Guard and a member of New Beginnings Community Church.
He is survived by his Wife- Helen Hampton Long of Georgetown, IN
Two sons, Robert P. Long, Sr. of Georgetown, IN and Douglas R. Long (Ginia) of Ramsey, IN
Two daughters, Lora J. Savell of Carrolton, KY and Vickie L. Scarpulla (David) of New Salisbury, IN
One Brother- Wayne Long of Lanesville, IN and two sisters Julia Mayfield (Lawrence) of Floyds Knobs, IN and Wilma Polen of Clarksville, IN ; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. Pastor Mike McCarty will officiate. Burial will be in Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 PM to 8 PM Monday, April 30, 2018 and from 10 AM to 1 PM on Tuesday. The family suggests memorial gifts be made to New Beginnings Community Church for Missions.
