Obituary for George I. Cotten Jr.

Corydon, Indiana
George I. Cotten Jr., 82, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at his home in Corydon. He was born October 4, 1934 in Eldon, MO, the son of George I. and Lucy (Robbins) Cotten. He was a retired First Sergeant for the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Juanita Hickman, Geraldine Gordy, Jean Freeman and Catherine Chamberlin.
He is survived by his wife Mary Evelyn (Meredith) Cotten, two sons, Joey Cotten of Mount Olive, Mississippi and Travis Cotten of Shelbyville, KY, four daughters, Roberta Ziegler, Karen Cotten and Angie Webb all of Louisville, KY and Rebecca Fell of Mt. Washington, KY, step-son, Travis Faith of Elizabeth, IN, and a step-daughter, Suzanne Kitterman of Corydon, IN, two sisters, Hazel McCoy of Camdenton, MO and Freda Bell Williams of Paola, KS, seventeen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and five Step-Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, June 26, 2017 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home in Corydon.
