Obituary for Edith "Rose" Burdon

Georgetown, Indiana
Edith “Rose” Burdon, 87, passed away Friday, May 5, 20-17 at her home in Georgetown. She was born March 18, 1930 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Edward and Henrietta Lynch Uebelhoer. She was a custodian for the New Albany- Floyd County School Corporation and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband , William C. Burdon.
She is survived by
One son-Garry Burdon (Kim) of Georgetown, IN
Three daughters-Rebecca Chaffin of Georgetown, IN
Mary Jo Schwartz (Paul) of Louisville, KY
Janet Cotton (Bruce) of Crestwood, KY
Four sisters-Helen Pfhering of Chicago, IL
Clara May Butler of Clarksville, IN
Betty Whitworth of Shepherdsville, KY
Bessie Schweinhart of Louisville, KY
Ten Grandchildren, six great grandchildren and great great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown, IN. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon, IN.
Visitation will be 4 PM to 8 PM Monday, May 8, 2017, 9 AM -8 PM Tuesday and 9 AM to 10 AM Wednesday.
The family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Alzheimers Association.
